Santa Fe's 5011 Class 2-10-2 locomotives in action in New Mexico in 1956 and '57 and on the PRR in Ohio in 1956. Over 22 minutes of pacing engines 5021 and 5017 between Belen and Mountaineer, NM in sound film as they closed out their service before retirement in 1957. Then, see them on the Pennsylvania RR in 1956 when a dozen of the 5011 Class engines were leased for service between Columbus and Sandusky, mostly on coal trains, in film by Donald J. Krofta and Ben T. Young, Jr. Used previously in Steam & Diesel on the PRR Volume 2 and in Pennsylvania Glory Vol. 2, this footage is included in the video that is solely about these big locomotives. 48 minutes, mostly color footage and all with authentic sound.
