NOTE: We have recently learned that Jeff Ainsworth, author and owner of Monte Vista Publishing, passed away on October 16, 2023. For months, we have been unable to obtain Monte Vista books, but now find that his relatives have acquired Monte Vista's inventory making books available to dealers  once again. There will be no new Monte Vista books, but we will continue to sell previous volumes as long as supplies last. We have learned that Pacific Electric volumes 9 and 10 are now available. We will put them up on our web site when received.

AN ORGANIZATIONAL HISTORY OF THE SANTA FE: 1869-1995/Walz

Default Title: $25.95 USD

IN STOCK AND SHIPPING

An Organizational  History of the Santa Fe 1969-1995, by Robert D. Walz.  One of the most confusing aspects of Santa Fe history has been what division a particular location or line belonged to at any point in time.  At various times La Junta, Colorado, belonged to the Western, Arkansas River, Colorado, Panhandle, or Kansas Division as well as the Eastern Region.   This monograph tells the story of the changes in the Santa Fe’s organization throughout its history.  It looks at the Santa Fe’s organization by giving a snapshot of what was in existence at particular points in time and discusses the changes in between. For each snapshot there is a John Signor-drawn map visually showing the Santa Fe’s organization at that time.  56 pages, 12 maps, 28 photos.

List price $30.00, softcover, b&w photos, 56 pages. SKU: SFORGAN. Posted July 24, 2018.
